קהילת הברייקדאנס בירושלים מזמינה אתכם לערב היפ הופ פתוח הכולל שיעורים, מעגלי ריקוד והופעות. המפגשים מיועדים לכל רמות הניסיון ולכל סגנונות ריקודי הרחוב, ומציעים הזדמנות ללמוד, להתאמן ולרקוד בג’אם סשן באווירה חיובית ומכבדת. לעיתים קרובות משולבות באירוע הפתעות מוזיקליות הכוללות תקליטנים וראפרים המופיעים על הבמה בזמן שהרקדנים פועלים ברחבה. בהמשך השנה מתוכננת תחרות לאומית גדולה שתפגיש רקדנים מכל רחבי הארץ.
השיעורים מתקיימים ברחבה המרכזית, למעט בתאריכים ספציפיים בהם הפעילות עוברת לחדר היוגה הממוקם מאחורי מסעדת וניליה. את הפעילות מובילים שני מדריכים מנוסים: יונתן אשר, בעל תואר שני בחינוך גופני, ניסיון של 20 שנה בהוראה, רקדן ושופט בתחרויות בארץ ובחו"ל, וכן שופט ברייקינג אולימפי מוסמך שפרסם מאמרים מדעיים בתחום; וסולדיאר OTS, ראפר ומייסד מותג DTE, המנחה את המוזיקה על הבמה ומשלב במופעיו אלמנטים אקרובטיים.
קהילת הברייקדאנס הירושלמית מחזיקה בהיסטוריה עשירה של הרכבים וקבוצות כגון Chessboard Dancers, Bishops Crew, Holy City Rockers, J-Lions, CypherFunk ו-DTE. מטרת הקהילה נותרה אחידה לאורך השנים: להמשיך לרקוד, ללמד, לארגן אירועים, לייצג את העיר בתחרויות ולהופיע על במות ובקליפים. הפעילות מונעת על ידי DTE (Downtown Echo), וכוללת גם שיעורים במרכז הקהילתי לב העיר ומעגלי ריקוד שבועיים ברחבת השחמט ברחוב לונץ.
The Jerusalem breakdance community invites you to a free, open hip-hop night featuring a warm-up, a breakdance class, open practice, and a cypher where everyone can train and dance in a positive, respectful atmosphere. The event is open to all street-dance styles and all levels. Occasionally, the evening includes surprises such as DJs and rappers performing on stage while dancers jam. A major national competition is planned for later this year, which will bring dancers from across Israel to the venue.
The night is led by instructors Yonatan Asher, an M.Ed. in Physical Education with 20 years of teaching experience, a competition winner and judge in Israel and abroad, a published researcher on breakdance education, and a certified Olympic breaking judge; and Soldier OTS, a rapper and founder of the DTE brand who hosts the shows and open mic, while also performing high-level acrobatics.
The Jerusalem breakdance community has a rich history, known through various crews such as the Chessboard Dancers, Bishops Crew, Holy City Rockers, J-Lions, CypherFunk, and DTE. The goal remains to keep dancing, teaching, organizing events, and representing Jerusalem in competitions and performances. This activity is powered by DTE (Downtown Echo) and includes additional classes at the Lev Ha’Ir Community Center and a weekly cypher at the chess plaza on Luntz Street.
