ברייקדאנס בתחנה
קהילת הברייקדאנס בירושלים מציגה ערב המוקדש כולו להיפ הופ, הכולל שיעורים, מעגלי ריקוד והופעות ללא עלות. המשתתפים מוזמנים ללמוד, להתאמן ולרקוד בג’אם סשן על המשטח, כאשר לעיתים מופיעים על הבמה תקליטנים וראפרים. בהמשך השנה מתוכננת תחרות לאומית גדולה. שיעורי הברייקדאנס חזרו לפעילות, כאשר ברוב המקרים הם מתקיימים ברחבה המרכזית, למעט תאריכים ספציפיים בהם הפעילות עוברת לחדר היוגה שמאחורי מסעדת וניליה. הדרכת השיעורים מובלת על ידי יונתן אשר, בעל תואר שני בחינוך גופני ותעודות מדריך ברייקדאנס. אשר מחזיק ב-20 שנות ניסיון בהוראה, הוא שופט ברייקינג אולימפי מוסמך, ובעברו ניצח ושפט בתחרויות רבות בארץ ובחו”ל, לצד פרסום מאמרים מדעיים בנושא חינוך לברייקדאנס. לצידו פועל סולדיאר OTS, ראפר ומייסד מותג DTE, המנחה את המוזיקה על הבמה ומשלב במופעיו אלמנטים של אקרובטיקה. Every Tuesday, the Jerusalem breakdance community invites you to a free, open hip-hop night. The evening includes a warm-up, a breakdance class, open practice on the dance floor, and an open cypher where everyone can train and dance in a positive, respectful atmosphere. The event is open to all street-dance styles and all levels. The night is led by instructors Yonatan Asher, an M.Ed. in Physical Education and Olympic breaking judge with 20 years of experience, and Soldier OTS, a rapper and founder of the DTE brand who hosts the shows and open mic. The community has a rich history involving various crews such as the Chessboard Dancers, Bishops Crew, Holy City Rockers, J-Lions, CypherFunk, and DTE, all sharing the goal of growing the local scene. Additional activities include classes at the Lev Ha’Ir Community Center and a weekly cypher at the chess plaza on Thursdays. أمسية هيب-هوب مجانية تُقام كل يوم ثلاثاء، تتضمّن إحماء، درس بريك دانس، وتدريب في الجو المفتوح مع أجواء إيجابية وتنوّع في أساليب رقص الشوارع. يتخلل الأمسية مفاجآت دي جي ومغنو راب وعروض مجانية. الفعالية مفتوحة للجميع بمختلف المستويات وبمختلف أساليب الرقص.
