A film director gathers his favorite actresses, drawing inspiration from them to write a script set in 1970s Rome. The story follows sisters Alberta and Gabriella, who run a prestigious fashion house. Their lives are transformed when they are commissioned to design costumes for a period film starring the famous actress Sofia Volpi. The narrative is told through the perspective of the costumes, weaving together reality and fiction, loneliness and passion, and the complex bonds of sisterhood and rivalry. The film explores the connection between the actresses and the characters they portray, as well as the visible and the invisible. This work achieved great success in Italy and became one of the most prominent films in director Ferzan Özpetek's career. Italy 2024, 135 minutes.
