קהילת הברייקדאנס בירושלים מציגה ערב המוקדש כולו לתרבות ההיפ הופ, הכולל מעגלי ריקוד, אימונים משותפים והופעות. המשתתפים מוזמנים ללמוד, להתאמן ולרקוד בג'אם סשן על המשטח, כאשר לעיתים משולבות הפתעות מוזיקליות של תקליטנים וראפרים על הבמה. בהמשך השנה מתוכננת תחרות לאומית גדולה. בשל מלחמת שאגת הארי, לא יתקיימו שיעורי ברייקדאנס עד להודעה חדשה. הפעילות מתקיימת ברחבה המרכזית.
צוות המדריכים כולל את יונתן אשר, בעל תואר שני בחינוך גופני, תעודות מדריך ברייקדאנס וניסיון של 20 שנה בהוראה. הוא שופט ברייקינג אולימפי מוסמך, בעל ניסיון רב בזכייה ובשיפוט בתחרויות בארץ ובחו"ל, ופרסם מאמרים מדעיים בנושא חינוך לברייקדאנס. לצידו פועל פפי, רקדן ומורה עם 7 שנות ניסיון, מייסד קהילת "סייפר פאנק", המופיע בקליפים ועל במות, מלמד אונליין ומשלב תיקלוט תוך כדי ריקוד. את הצוות משלים סולדיאר OTS, ראפר ומייסד מותג DTE, המנחה את המוזיקה על הבמה ומשלב ביצועים אקרובטיים.
הקהילה מחזיקה בהיסטוריה עשירה של הרכבים וקבוצות כגון "Chessboard Dancers", "Bishops Crew", "Holy City Rockers", "J-Lions", "CypherFunk" ו-"DTE". המטרה המשותפת נותרה בעינה: להמשיך לרקוד, להתאמן, ללמד, לארגן אירועים, לייצג את ירושלים בתחרויות, להופיע ולהצמיח את הסצנה המקומית. הפעילות מונעת על ידי DTE.
The Jerusalem breakdance community invites you to an open hip-hop night. The evening includes a warm-up, open practice on the dance floor, and an open cypher where everyone can train and dance in a positive, respectful atmosphere. The event features occasional surprises with DJs and rappers on stage. Toward the end of the year, a major national competition will be organized. The event is open to all street-dance styles and all levels.
The night is led by instructors: Yonatan Asher, an M.Ed. in Physical Education, certified breakdance instructor with 20 years of experience, winner and judge in competitions, published researcher on breakdance education, and certified Olympic breaking judge; Peppy, a dancer and teacher with 7 years of experience, founder of the CypherFunk community, performer, and online instructor; and Soldier OTS, rapper and founder of the DTE brand, who hosts the shows and open mic.
The Jerusalem breakdance community has a rich history, known through crews such as the Chessboard Dancers, Bishops Crew, Holy City Rockers, J-Lions, CypherFunk, and DTE. The goal remains to keep dancing, training, teaching, and representing Jerusalem. Activity powered by DTE.
