את הפעילות מובילים שני מדריכים מנוסים: יונתן אשר, בעל תואר שני בחינוך גופני, מחזיק בתעודות מדריך ברייקדאנס, בעל 20 שנות ניסיון בהוראה, שופט ברייקינג אולימפי, זוכה ושופט בתחרויות בארץ ובחו”ל ומחבר מאמרים מדעיים על חינוך בתחום הברייקדאנס; וסולדיאר OTS, ראפר ומייסד מותג DTE, המנחה את המוזיקה על הבמה ומשלב במופעיו אלמנטים אקרובטיים.
The Jerusalem breakdance community invites you to a free, open hip-hop night. The evening includes a warm-up and a breakdance class, followed by open practice on the dance floor and an open cypher where everyone can train and dance in a positive, respectful atmosphere. The session concludes with a group stretch. The event features occasional surprises, such as DJs and rappers on stage, and plans are underway for a major national competition later this year. The event is open to all street-dance styles and all levels.
The night is led by instructors Yonatan Asher, an M.Ed. in Physical Education with 20 years of teaching experience, a competition winner and judge, a published researcher on breakdance education, and a certified Olympic breaking judge; and Soldier OTS, a rapper and founder of the DTE brand who hosts the shows and open mic. Additional activities include classes at the Lev Ha’Ir Community Center and a weekly cypher at the chess plaza. The Jerusalem breakdance community, which includes crews such as the Chessboard Dancers, Bishops Crew, Holy City Rockers, J-Lions, CypherFunk, and DTE, continues its long-standing mission to teach, perform, and grow the local scene. This activity is powered by DTE (Downtown Echo).
